Some items are not a moving job in the ordinary sense. They are a lifting and protection problem with a short drive attached.

Packing goes room by room using our own materials. Cartons are labelled for the room they are going to at the new address rather than the one they came from, because the label is an instruction for whoever is carrying it. Fragile items are wrapped individually and packed so nothing can shift inside the box, which is what actually prevents breakage rather than the wrapping alone. Beds, wardrobes and modular units come apart where a doorway will not take them, with the fittings kept together for reassembly.

For a heavy or awkward item the calculation is different. Crew size is set by the weight and the route rather than by the room count. Crating adds materials and time. Where an item needs equipment to move at all, that is part of the job rather than an extra discovered later. This is why an assessment matters more here than a description does.
