Moving within the same building or complex
There is no drive, so almost the whole job is lift cycles and carrying, and that changes what matters.
The lift is the bottleneck, not the vehicle. Every load waits for it, rides, is cleared at the other end, and the lift returns. Multiply that by the number of trips a household needs and you have the length of the day. Whether the lift is dedicated to your move for an agreed window or shared with everyone else in the building changes that arithmetic more than anything else, so it is worth asking your building which you will get.
Two lift bookings, not one. If you are moving between towers, both ends usually need a slot, and the two have to overlap. If you are moving between floors in the same tower it is one lift doing double duty, which is simpler but not faster.
A vehicle may not be needed at all, or may be needed only for the large pieces that will not go through a lift and have to go round the outside. That is worth establishing at the survey, because it is the difference between two quite different quotes.
Packing is still packing. This is where people underestimate the job, and where Soni Packers and Movers does not cut the standard just because the distance is short. A short move tempts everyone to carry things loose, and loose is exactly how crockery, glass and electronics get broken. A carton that travels four floors in a lift and along two corridors is handled as many times as one that travels twenty kilometres. We pack it the same way.

Local shifting, longer moves and cost
Not every Kharghar move is inside one complex, and household shifting out of the area is equally routine work for us. Short runs to Panvel or Taloja keep the same crew at both ends. Moves towards Thane, the Kalyan and Dombivli belt or the wider Mumbai area add real driving time, so the start time is agreed with the date.

Cars and two wheelers travel separately on an enclosed carrier under car and bike transportation, and where two possession dates do not meet, goods can be held under warehouse shifting and storage.
On price for a same-complex move: the figure comes from the volume, the number of lift cycles that implies, whether the lift is dedicated or shared, the permitted window, how much packing you want done, and any dismantling and reassembly. Distance contributes almost nothing, which is why a mover quoting purely on kilometres will either overcharge you or discover the problem on the day.
