Most moves are planned around one constraint. This one usually has two, and they belong to different people.
Where both buildings manage lift access by slot, the loading window and the unloading window are fixed independently, and the drive sits between them. If the first runs late the second is missed, and a missed slot on a busy day may not be re-offered until the following one. So we work backwards from the arrival window rather than forwards from the start: how long does unloading need, when must the vehicle therefore arrive, what does the drive take at that hour, and what time does loading have to begin to make that work.
The practical upshot is that we ask you to confirm both windows before the date rather than one, and to tell us if either is narrow. Where a window is tight the answer is more crew so the work finishes inside it, not a longer day. Requirements differ between buildings and we do not assume them, so confirm your own position with the committee or manager at each end early.
Everything else is our standard method: room-by-room packing with our own materials, cartons labelled for the room they are going to at the new address rather than the one they came from, fragile items wrapped individually and packed so nothing shifts inside the box, and wardrobes, beds and modular units dismantled where a doorway or lift will not take them, with the fittings kept together for reassembly.
