Agreeing the standing point before the day
Three things follow from where the vehicle can wait, and none of them can be worked out at eight in the morning.
The carry. How far each item travels between the door and the vehicle, and whether that route has steps, a turn or a shared entrance. That sets the crew size, because on a long carry the number of people matters more than the size of the van.
The vehicle. A smaller vehicle that reaches the door and makes two runs is often better than a larger one parked further away with everything hand-carried. Which is right depends entirely on the approach, and it is a decision rather than a compromise.
The order of work. Where standing time is limited, goods are staged ready before the vehicle arrives so the loading window is short and continuous rather than stop-start. That is a plan, not something a crew improvises.
So at the survey we look at the approach and agree the standing point with you, along with who needs to be told about it. Where the honest answer is that the vehicle cannot get close, we say so and price for the carry rather than quoting the easy version and revising it later. Everything else is our usual method. Shops, offices and where Dadar moves run
Shop and small commercial premises follow the same access logic with sequencing added: stock boxed by category so it goes back on shelves in order rather than being sorted twice, and the closure kept as short as the approach realistically allows. Moves within the area to Parel, Worli or Dharavi, and across the wider Mumbai area, are routine. Moves out to Thane or the Kalyan and Dombivli belt add driving time and route restrictions for larger vehicles, so the start time is agreed with the date.
